Micro-Epsilon

Micro-Epsilon is one of the leading sensors manufacturers worldwide. For more than 50 years they have continuously produced reliable, high performance, unique solutions particularly when high precision measurement or inspection is required. Micro-Epsilon offers the largest range of high precision displacement sensors, infrared temperature sensors, color sensors as well as dimensional measurement devices and systems for industrial applications. Whether your field is research and development, manufacturing automation or machine building, they offer solutions that meet the specific requirements of your individual measurement task.

High Speed Laser
Displacement Sensor

optoNCDT sensors have set milestones for industrial laser displacement measurement. Micro-Epsilon laser sensors stand out due to size, measuring rate, software and, above all, due to precision.

The sensor operates with a laser diode, which projects a visible light spot onto the measurement target. The light reflected from the spot is imaged by an optical receiving system onto a position-sensitive element. CMOS and CCD are used as the position-sensitive element in this high-performance sensors.

Laser-based optical displacement sensors measure from a large distance to the target using a very small spot which enables measurements on the very small parts. The large measurement distance in turn enables measurements to be taken against difficult target surfaces such as hot metals. The non-contact principle enables wear-free measurements as the sensors are not subject to any physical contact with the target. Furthermore, the laser triangulation principle is ideal for very fast measurements with high accuracy and resolution.

Confocal chromatic
measurement system

The confocalDT product range stands for highest precision and dynamics in the confocal chromatic measurement technology. The measuring system includes the fastest controller currently available, enabling high precision measurement results in displacement and distance measurement tasks, as well as thickness measurement of transparent objects. A large number of sensors and different interfaces can be used in versatile measurement tasks, e.g., in the semiconductor industry, glass industry, medical engineering and machine building.

Inductive Sensors
(eddy current)

Eddy current sensors from Micro-Epsilon are designed for non-contact measurement of displacement, distance, position, oscillation and vibrations. They are particularly suitable when high precision is required in harsh industrial environments (pressure, dirt, temperature).

Capacitive Sensors

Capacitive sensors are designed for non-contact measurement of displacement, distance and position, as well as for thickness measurement. The sensors measure against all electrically conductive materials, and with appropriate electronic circuitry even against insulators. Due to their high signal stability and resolution, capacitive displacement sensors are applied in laboratories and industrial measurement tasks. In production control, for example, capacitive sensors measure film thickness and application of the adhesive.

Draw-wire Sensors

Draw-wire displacement sensors measure linear movements using a highly flexible steel cable. The cable drum is attached to a sensor element which provides a proportional output signal. Measurements are performed with high accuracy and high dynamic response. The use of high quality components guarantees a long life cycle and high operational reliability

wireSENSORs are application friendly due to the excellent measurement range to size ratio and the fact that they are easy to mount and use. The rugged sensor construction ensures reliable operation even under difficult ambient conditions.
