APPLICATION OF CONDITION MONITORING
Ronds helped a customer find a damage of the tooth surface of the compressor input shaft. The tooth surface had obvious peeling or broken teeth. The recent deterioration was significant. It is not recommended to continue to run.
The site personnel shut down the machine to inspect and found that multiple tooth surfaces of the input shaft gear had broken teeth. After the replacement of compressor, the vibration dropped obviously, and the trend was stable.
